John Boos makes this 1-1/2-inch thick, edge-grain butcher block cutting board in three different varieties (i.e., species), but this hard rock maple version has the distinction and advantage of being NSF-approved, meaning it meets food service industry standards, making it suitable for fine restaurants as well as sandwich shops. It’s equally perfect for home kitchens. In fact, its beige and brown hues fit into a wide range of kitchen decors.
The smallest size is actually a not-so-small 18” by 12”. And if that’s not big enough to suit your needs, you can step up to the mid-sized option: 20” by 15”. The largest of the three sizes measures 24” by 18”; that’s a whopping 3 square feet of prep and cutting surface!
